The Rotary Club of Kampala Metropolitan held a transformative medical outreach at Butooro Health Centre III to bridge healthcare gaps and address critical health needs. The initiative served 350 patients with diverse services: 41 dental cases, 36 eye consultations, 22 reproductive health screenings (including cervical and breast cancer), and 33 orthopedic consultations. The rest were offered general medical services and legal consultations addressing domestic issues were also provided. A key highlight was donating an oxygen cylinder to the maternity ward, a gift that will give newborns their first precious breaths. Expectant mothers left with mama kits in hand and hope in their hearts. while funds are sought for a neonatal resuscitation unit. The outreach underscored Rotary’s commitment to improving healthcare access, building partnerships, and positively impacting underserved communities.
